Gabriel Gorsky has extensive expertise in biological oceanography, zooplankton ecology, marine geochemistry and oceanography. He has developed new methods to study and model trophic interactions, population dynamics, and behavior of gelatinous zooplankton. Gorsky has also innovated in the field of biogeochemistry: marine snow fluxes and carbon sequestration. He has lead and taken part in 35 international oceanographic cruises; he is also a coordinator of long term sampling of zooplankton in the Mediterranean, the coordinator of the EURAPP EU program and co-responsible of different international and national research programs. He’s the Operational Oceanography Coordinator of the TARA Ocean Expeditions.
